How to Keep Your New Year’s Resolution

keep your New Year’s resolution

Every year, millions of American set New Year’s resolutions and then quickly abandon them. If 2019 is going to be your year for success, then you’ll want to follow a few handy tips to help you keep your New Year’s resolution.

Set Small Goals

Setting a goal that seems a million miles away can leave you feeling daunted. Instead, start small. If you want to buy a new car, make a goal to put $50 from each paycheck into a savings account. If you want to eat healthier, replace a sweet treat with a piece of fruit or cup of yogurt and build from there.

Take One Step at a Time

If you try overhauling all of your bad habits at once, you will easily become overwhelmed. Focus on one habit at a time and replace unhealthy behaviors with healthy ones.

Get Support

Talk to your friends and family about your goals. You might find someone with the same or similar goals. You can work together and check on each other’s progress to help you stay focused on your goal.

Forgive Yourself

Just because you make one mistake, that does not mean you have failed. It is normal to have backtracks and missteps while working towards your goal. Brush off your mistakes and focus yourself again.

If one of your resolutions is to get out of your old clunker and into a marvelous new Ford, the team at Robbie Roberson Ford is more than happy to help!
