Ford lovers, prepare to love Ford even more. This fall, Ford will roll out its all-new Ford Co-Pilot360™, which is the “most advanced suite of standard driver-assist technologies among full-line brands.” It will be featured on cars across Ford’s lineup, with numerous advanced features coming standard on passenger cars, SUVs, and trucks from fall onward. We’re thrilled that Ford will be delivering the absolute best possible safety technology to drivers.
The Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite of safety features offers the most up-to-date safety technology available from any brand. The suite includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keeping System, a rear backup camera, and Auto High Beamd to optimize visibility. Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection will automatically apply the vehicle’s brakes to help prevent or mitigate front-end collisions, and the Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert will monitor vehicles in your blind spot and alert you when you try to change lanes or when backing up.
In addition to these impressive features, Ford will continue to offer new and improved state-of-the-art driver-assist technologies. These technologies include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Lane Centering as well as Evasive Steering Assist. Next year, Ford will add reverse brake assist with automatic emergency braking to help prevent rear-end collisions when backing up.
This is only the beginning of Ford Co-Pilot360™, as Ford will be investing $500 million in the next five years to develop new technologies, and we can’t wait to see what innovative features Ford will offer in the future.
