Ford F-150 Diesel Engine Finally Unveiled

F-150 diesel engineThe moment we have all been waiting for is finally here: you can finally place your order for a 2018 Ford F-150 equipped with a diesel engine. Ford announced the F-150 diesel engine will be an all-new 3.0-liter Power Stroke® diesel.

This amazing engine will deliver a best-in-class 11,400 pounds of towing capacity, 2,020 pounds of payload capacity, an EPA-estimated 30 mpg highway, and best-in-class diesel power, with 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque.*

“For every truck owner who wants strong fuel economy while they tow and haul, we offer a new 3.0-liter Power Stroke® V6 engine that dreams are made of,” said Dave Filipe, vice president global powertrain engineering. “The more you tow and the longer you haul, the more you’ll appreciate its class-leading towing and payload capacity and how efficient it is at the pump.”

Thanks to the F-150’s military-grade, aluminum-alloy body, Ford engineers were able to invest in new technologies for this diesel engine. This means this engine is designed to tow under grueling conditions, while still delivering great fuel efficiency.

If you have been waiting for the arrival of the F-150 diesel engine, stop by Robbie Roberson Ford today to place your order. The diesel-equipped trucks will begin arriving this spring.

*Final EPA F-150 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel fuel economy estimates will be published this spring.
